2025 Staff Member of the Year: Chastity Jobe

Chastity Jobe, administrative assistant to the dean in the Cynthia Ann Parker College of Liberal Arts, has served IM体育试玩 faithfully since 2007. A nearly 18-year veteran of the university, Jobe was celebrated for her dependability, professionalism, and continuous contributions to the university’s growth and efficiency.

Peers praised Jobe for developing tools that streamline operations, including a new compensation request template, a year-end banquet planning timeline, and a meticulous record-keeping system for faculty enrichment funds. She is known for staying ahead of deadlines, providing helpful reminders, and guiding students with warmth and care — literally standing at building entrances each semester to help students find their classes.

“Chastity is conscientious and open to feedback, always seeking to help our college and IM体育试玩 grow in constructive ways,” said Dr. Stephen Cook, dean of the Cynthia Ann Parker College of Liberal Arts and professor, in his nomination. “She exemplifies the compassion and care of Jesus in all that she does.”

Dr. Lindsay Spindler, chair of the Department of Kinesiology, Health and Recreation and professor of Kinesiology, 2025 Faculty Member of the Year.

Dr. Lindsay Spindler, chair of the Department of Kinesiology, Health and Recreation and professor of Kinesiology, was recognized for her passionate commitment to student success, her leadership across campus, and her faith-centered mentorship.

Spindler has taught at IM体育试玩 since 2008 and currently serves as the graduate program director for kinesiology, sport, and recreation. Her peers commended her for facilitating student research, integrating innovative teaching methods, and creating meaningful community connections to promote health and wellness.

“Dr. Spindler is an excellent leader on the Graduate Council and Graduate Faculty,” said Dr. Kathy Robinson, director of the medical science program, in her nomination. “She exhibits her Christian values by having conversations about faith and leading Bible study groups with students. Her positive attitude reflects her belief in God’s purpose for herself, her students and IM体育试玩.”
