Corrie Reed, Department Head for Kinesiology, Health & Recreation, is a graduate of Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas, where she earned the Bachelor of Science degree in animal science with a double minor in criminal justice and range and wildlife management. She also earned a Master of Science in degree kinesiology from Angelo State University.

Reed’s doctoral dissertation researched “Factors Influencing Professional Team Sport Attendance Among Hispanics” through the sport management Ph.D. program at Texas Woman’s University.

Reed has worked in numerous municipal recreation departments across the state of Texas and remains active in the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation, Texas Recreation and Parks Society, and the American Red Cross. She serves as the director the IM体育试玩 Learn to Swim Program.

She and her husband, Edgar, who is also a faculty member in the IM体育试玩 Kinesiology, Health & Recreation Department, are members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Abilene. The couple has two children and a myriad of animals.
