Dr. Laura Pogue holds the W.D. & Hollis R. Bond Endowed Chair of English and teaches American Literature with special focus in Early American Literature as well as in American women writers at the turn of the 19th to 20th centuries, creative writing, slavery narrative, and poetry.

Dr. Pogue also serves as academic advisor to all students seeking 7-12 teacher certification in English.

Obsessed with words, language, and stories, Dr. Pogue finds a deep connection between her academic pursuits and her spiritual journey.
